STRUGGLE AGAINST THE FLESH

Anchor Verse: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God, to the pulling down of strongholds. (2 Corinthians 5:10) 

The flesh indisputably desires to be appeased and satisfied at every given second. It craves for mundane things and longs for worldly pleasure. The flesh does not indulge in anything that would cause it pain, no matter how temporary the pain might last.

Oftentimes, the struggle people go through in life is against the destructive desires of the flesh. This includes the desire to take hard drugs, immorality, pornography, fraudulent acts, robbery and all kinds of sinful desires.

Yielding to the desires of the flesh has never resulted in anything good. It disrupts a successful future, pushes people away from proper planning, forestall dreams and inhibits a good relationship with God. 

In the bible, we see how fleshly desires destroyed the divine purpose of God for Sampson. Fleshly lust brought about pain and regrets into the household of King David. The flesh is still causing havoc in the world till date. 

Do not make the mistake of trying to overcome your flesh through moral or physical power. Only the power in the blood of Jesus has the potency to totally deliver anyone from the incessant rule of the flesh.
