BEWARE! IT DESTROYS!

Anchor Verse: Can a man take fire to his bosom, And his clothes not be burned? (Proverbs 6:27)

There are such things we can really play with; fire is definitely not one of them. Who can play with fire? Do you know of anyone?

Despite its supposed attractiveness, sin is as destructive as fire. It ruins lives and causes eternal damnation, sadly, many persons are not afraid of sin as they are afraid of fire.

We live in a dispensation that the enemy has made sin to look ordinary and acceptable. He has beclouded the minds of individuals to think there is nothing wrong with it; which is why millions are failing into it daily.

Dear child of God, just to reiterate what you already know, sin is not fun, it destroys!

To overcome a consistent life of sin, ask God to help you to overcome the besetting life of sin through His abounding grace. Grace will divinely enable you to do what you cannot do on your own. You can’t fight sin on your own, you need a higher power to help you.

Sin is the enemy’s bait that attracts and destroys lives. Beware, for behind it lies an everlasting agony. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23.

WHAT ARE YOU LIVING FOR?

So then, every one of us shall give account of him/herself to God. Romans 14:12.

A life can only become fruitful when it fulfills or is fulfilling God’s purpose for creating it. Everything in life has a purpose, and God in His infinite wisdom designed all things to function in its place while bringing glory to Him.

The spoon in your kitchen is fulfilling its purpose anytime you eat with it. The chair in your home is fulfilling its purpose anytime you sit on it. Now, can God boast of you that, He is enjoying the benefits of creating you, the same way you are enjoying the things you bought with your money?

Come to think of it, water is created for drinking, fire is there to cook our food, the trees gives shield, brings forth fruit and is a source of wood for us, the sun brightens our day and night come so we can have rest. All the animals in the forest and the fishes in the sea remain purposeful, meeting the demands of their Creator. How about you? What are you living for?

Romans 8:19 says “For the earnest expectation of the Creature is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. You are created specifically for something very unique. You are created to be a solve a need. Have you discovered it? The reason for frustrations in life is basically, as a result of functioning in a different purpose. A life that is not fulfilling its purpose has a vacuum, it has a longing, and it is never satisfied. Even the objects that men designed have their specific purposes, how much more, men and women who are made in the image and likeness of God.

When you desire to find out the purpose and uses of a particular product, you contact the manufacturer for information. In the same way, God is the only One who can reveal your divine purpose to your heart. Do you have a relationship with Him? Do you have faith in His saving grace? Can God rightly say you are living out your purpose here on earth to please Him?

There is no time to procrastinate further. Today is that day, have a rethink, come to the Lord now and start fulfilling your purpose of being here. Let your life count for eternity.

YOUR BODY: THE TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD

Anchor Verse: Know you not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16)

During the old covenant, the period before the birth and death of Christ, the Spirit of The Most High God dwelt in tabernacles; in the Ark of the Covenant.  However, after the death of Jesus Christ and the establishment of the new covenant, God no longer dwells in places made with hands. Now, He dwells in the hearts of believers whose hearts are pure and sanctified before Him.

Why is the body of a believer the temple of God? It is because; the Spirit of God dwells therein. The Holy Spirit is also God (God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit.) That is to say, when the Holy Spirit is in you, God is in you.

Some Christians live carelessly in sin thereby, defiling their body which is the abode of God Almighty.  Isaiah 52:11 tells us : Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.  What is the above bible passage emphasizing? Those who are called by God’s name should stay away from sin.

When you are dressed in a white clothing, do you get yourself smeared in mud and play with such things that will ruin your clothes? People who dress in white are usually careful of everything they do, in order to keep their outfit clean. If you are so careful of an ordinary cloth; how much more the sparkling presence of God? Should you not make efforts to keep His house clean?

2 Timothy 2:19 states, “Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal: ‘The Lord knows those who are His,’ and, ‘Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.

God is concerned with the way you live your life and conduct yourself both in the private and in the open.  Dignitaries and public figures carry themselves in an enviable style to protect their brand and office. In the same manner, Christians are required to comport themselves in a manner that would reflect and announce the King of Kings.  It is belittling to see a carrier of Light mingling with the unfruitful works of darkness.

Search through your life, what are those things that hinder the presence of God from abiding in you? Anything that can hinder the presence of God from fully dwelling in you can also hinder you from making heaven. While there is time, do mend your ways and depend always on God’s grace to keep you steadfast.

God demands that you live in holiness, He demands you live no more carelessly, He demands that you keep your body which is His temple clean at all times.

SPEAK PEACE TO THAT STORM

Anchor Verse: Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. (Proverbs 18:21:)

From almost every corner of the globe, we see ragging storms laced in different shapes, colours and sizes. Terrorism, pandemic, poor governance, famine, addiction to drugs, terminal illnesses – name it.

These challenges have turned into storms in most people’s lives both at the global and personal levels. Leaving them with no choice but brace an attitude of reaction to their challenges.

No, you do not react to storms, you speak to them!

We should learn from our Lord Jesus because He spoke to every single storm that was brought to Him.

To the lame He said, Rise up and walk.  (John 5:8)

To the blind, He said, open your eyes and see. (Mark 10:51.52)

To the dead, He said, arise and live. (Mark 5:41)

To the wind, He said, Peace Be Still. (Mark 4:39)

Reacting to storms – crying, frustrated, depressed, transferring aggression, drinking alcohol, snapping at kids, leaves the child of God defeated, helpless and weak.

Speaking the word of God to storms instead of reacting to them causes a shift to happen. That shift stirs up the spirit and builds hope. It removes the eyes from a physical fact to a supernatural Truth.

Its time to arise and speak to that storm you are experiencing:

Beloved, your mouth is your spiritual weapon, Use it today. Use it always.

WHY AM I HERE?

Anchor Verse: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)

We are here on a mission. A mission to fill a vacuum. A vacuum that only us can fill.

Failure to fill that vacuum, creates a gap in Gods purpose for humanity. Like a puzzle, each of the pieces need to be in the right place to form a unified whole.

You are like a piece of that puzzle; the world needs you in the right place to be complete.

A certain young man was noticed to stay around and watch young boys play football in a large sports centre. When asked the thoughts behind his action he said. Ï was born to entertain the world with my unique football skills, but my parents compelled me to become a medical doctor.

In the eyes of the world, he is a successful medical practitioner, but in the eyes of God he is an incomplete man, who is struggling to fit – in, in a wrong structure.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

There is a purpose for bringing you into the world in a time like this. You are here to solve a problem. That purpose is Gods plan for your life. Anything outside of it, will be like forcing a horse to fly.

Again, Gods agenda for the world will remain incomplete until you and I get into our places of purpose.

Its not too late to start again. You can begin it now!
